https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/676

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tajdid method in improving the ability to read and memorize the Qur'an in students of Aisyiyah Kedungwaru Innovative Elementary School. This method combines the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) approach and mnemonic techniques with a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that this method is implemented regularly every morning with varied and fun activities. From the principal's perspective, the main supporting factors are school management support and cooperation with Tajdid Center for teacher training. Teachers rated interesting learning media and regular training as supporting success, but faced obstacles in the variation of students' learning styles and uneven mastery of the method. Meanwhile, students show high enthusiasm because the method is interactive, but limited practice time is an obstacle. Overall, the Tajdid method is considered effective, but needs continued support from schools and parents as well as improved teacher competence.
Hariantin Amirotur RasyidaM. Asep Fathur Rozi

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/697

This research is motivated by the importance of learning nahwu and shorof to help students understand the yellow book and other Arabic texts, but in reality, there are still many students who have difficulty in understanding Arabic language rules, both in word structure and grammar, so Ustadz has an important role in learning nahwu and shorof to overcome various difficulties faced by students. This research was organized at the Darul Muslimin Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Pare Kediri and aims to obtain information about the efforts made by the ustadz in improving the understanding of nahwu shorof, the challenges faced by the ustadz in the process, and the ustadz's strategy in overcoming the various challenges that exist. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach; the data collection methods used are in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results of the research are 1) The efforts of the ustadz in improving the understanding of nahwu shorof in the Darul Muslimin Muhammadiyah Pare Kediri Islamic boarding school by using active learning methods, namely not only using the lecture method but also involving students directly through memorization discussions and practice reading the yellow book. Ustadz also conducts periodic evaluations in the form of oral or written exams and daily observations. 2) Obstacles in improving the understanding of Nahwu Shorof at Darul Muslimin Muhammadiyah Pare Kediri boarding school are the low basic ability of students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to Arabic, and the lack of interest in learning Nahwu Shorof in some students. 3) Efforts made to overcome obstacles in improving the understanding of nahwu shorof are additional tutoring programs outside the main learning hours, aimed specifically at students who still have difficulty understanding nahwu shorof.
Naufalia Bahima Bari’Siti Nur Hidayatul Hasanah

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/710

This research was conducted because of the importance of using good and organized Qur'an learning strategies, especially for students who have not yet mastered reading according to the correct Tajweed rules. At MTs Unggulan Al Azhaar Mulyosari Pagerwojo, the Yanbu'a method is used as the main foundation in learning the Al-Qur'an. This method is arranged systematically and gradually, with an emphasis on mastering the makharijul huruf, the nature of the letters, and the correct rules of tajwid. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of understanding the strategies used by teachers in implementing the Yanbu'a method, identifying the obstacles encountered, and analyzing its influence on improving students' ability to read the Qur'an. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document collection. The subjects of the study included Al-Qur'an teachers and several students from various levels in the teaching and learning process. The results of the study showed that the strategies used by teachers, such as grouping students based on their abilities, individual approaches (sorogan), classical learning methods (halaqah), and the habit of carrying out muroja'ah and daily deposits, proved to be very effective. Periodic evaluation and continued coaching also strengthened learning outcomes. Students experienced improvements in reading fluency, mastery of makhraj, and application of tajwid laws, and demonstrated greater self-confidence and enthusiasm for learning. These results are likely to serve as a guide for other Islamic educational institutions in improving how they apply the Yanbu'a method.
Dwi SusantiFaruuq Trifauzi

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/711

This study aims to examine and describe the implementation of Duha prayer habituation in shaping student learning discipline at SD Muhammadiyah Program Plus Besuki. This study adopts a qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data was collected through a combination of interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the practice of habituating the Duha prayer is carried out routinely, scheduled, and structured with active supervision from the teacher. This activity has a positive influence on the development of student discipline, particularly in terms of punctuality, a sense of responsibility, and regularity in learning. One of the uniqueness of this school is the prohibition of snacks in the school environment, which aims to instill discipline and a healthy lifestyle, students are directed to bring healthy snacks from home. Factors supporting the success of the program include the school's religious culture, the involvement of teachers and parents, and adequate worship facilities. The obstacles faced are related to the character of students who still need coaching and uneven spiritual awareness. With the synergy between schools, teachers, and parents, the habituation of Duha prayer has proven to be an effective strategy in strengthening Islamic character education in elementary school students.
Sheren Az Zahra ZeniaFaruuq Trifauzi

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/715

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in developing the PAI curriculum at SD Negeri 2 Nglurup and identify challenges and solutions in its implementation. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. Key informants include the Islamic Education (PAI) teacher, principal, and classroom teachers. The findings reveal that the PAI teacher plays an active role as a curriculum designer, implementer, and evaluator, particularly in integrating Islamic values into students’ daily routines through structured worship practices and religious programs. The primary challenges identified include limited teacher availability, disparities in students' spiritual knowledge, and low parental involvement. Solutions include cross-teacher collaboration, digital communication, and innovative learning methods. The practical implication of this research is the necessity of actively involving teachers in value-based curriculum development. The originality of this study lies in its direct observation of how Islamic values are systematically instilled in a public-school context resembling private-Islamic-school models. The limitation of this research lies in its single-site focus and the absence of quantitative measurement to support broader generalizations.
Arih FauziahM. Asep Fathur Rozi

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/721

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic educational values in character building among students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Qur'ani Tsamrotul Ma'arif Kediri. Given the importance of character education in Islamic teachings, this study focuses on how the values of faith, worship, and morals are instilled in primary school students through habit formation and role modelling. This study employs a qualitative case study method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation, with informants comprising the school principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis employs the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study indicate that Islamic values are applied through routine activities, such as reciting the Asmaul Husna, performing Tahfida, Muroja'ah, and PHBI, as well as Dhuha and Dhuhr prayers. Teachers as role models, curriculum design, and parental support also play significant roles in character development. The main limitation lies in the varying levels of character maturity among young students, which require more intensive and personalized guidance. This is exacerbated by the lack of active parental involvement, peer influence, and the environment outside of school. This study contributes to understanding how integrated religious education programs in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah institutions can significantly shape students' character. It also emphasizes the importance of synergy between schools, teachers, and parents in realizing character education based on Islamic values.
Reni Pratiwi PratiwiSuprihno

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Sabaq, Sabaqi, and Manzil methods in Qur’an memorization and their impact on the memorization quality of students at Darul Muslimin Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Pare, Kediri. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings show that the three methods are systematically applied: Sabaq for new memorization, Sabaqi for reviewing recent memorization, and Manzil for maintaining long-term memorization. Their implementation significantly improves students’ memorization quality regarding fluency, tajwid accuracy, and long-term retention. Supporting factors include a structured curriculum, committed instructors, and a conducive learning environment. Inhibiting factors include students' limited time, mental fatigue, and varied memorization abilities. This study is limited to one institution, so its generalizability is restricted. The implication is that these methods can serve as references for other Islamic education institutions aiming to develop effective Qur’an memorization systems. https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/713

One approach for learning to read the Qur'an is the tartili method. Orderliness, composure, and precise pronunciation in compliance with tajwid standards are the hallmarks of this approach. Students learn to read the Qur'an with comprehension and composure using this approach. SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Tulungagung teaches its students to read the Quran using the tartili method. Students can progressively and thoroughly enhance their reading comprehension of the Quran by employing the tartili method, which helps them with pronunciation, fluency, and comprehension of the fundamentals of tajwid. This study employs a descriptive research design and a qualitative methodology. This study aims to characterize and comprehend the phenomena that are taking place in the field, namely the application of the tartili technique in teaching Quranic reading. Data was gathered using a variety of methods, including observations, interviews, and documentation. The study's findings show that SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Tulungagung uses the tartili approach in a methodical and structured way. Teachers take a methodical approach. Students' reading skills are progressively improved when they read and repeat examples. Students' proficiency in reading the Qur'an has improved in terms of fluency, makhraj correctness, and tajwid comprehension. This suggests that teaching Qur'an reading at the elementary school level using the tartili method is a successful strategy.
Adelina TiafalenvieSuripto

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/701

This study aims to analyze the synergistic role between teachers and parents in internalizing the prophetic traits of shiddiq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (effective communication), and fathanah (wisdom) into students’ daily lives. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The research participants included Islamic education teachers, school leaders, parents, and students at SMP Islam Srengat. The findings show that the exemplary role of PAI teachers becomes significantly more effective in shaping student character when it is supported by a religious school climate and active parental involvement. This synergy is reflected through consistent communication between school and home, shared role modelling by teachers and parents, and reinforcement of Islamic values through daily practices. However, several obstacles were also identified, such as limited instructional time, the influence of digital media, and low parental engagement in certain cases.

The study highlights the importance of family involvement in Islamic character education and calls for stronger parenting programs rooted in Islamic values. Although limited in scope to a single institution and based solely on qualitative methods, this study offers novelty through its focus on the integration of prophetic traits by both educational agents—teachers and parents—within the context of Generation Z in the digital era. Theoretically, the research contributes to the discourse on Islamic character education by emphasizing collaborative value transmission. Practically, it provides actionable strategies for strengthening school–parent synergy in shaping students’ prophetic character.
Siti SholekahM. Asep Fathur Rozi

https://ejournal.staimta.ac.id/index.php/edukasi/article/view/688

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Yanbu’a method among slow learner students and its impact on their Qur’anic reading ability at SMK Islam Al-Azhaar Tulungagung. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. Data sources included the principal, Qur’anic teachers, and school learning documentation. The findings indicate that the Yanbu’a method gradually improves the Qur’anic reading skills of slow-learning students. Additionally, the process positively affects affective aspects such as learning motivation, discipline, and self-confidence. The method's success relies heavily on the role of teachers as both personal and emotional mentors and their flexibility in adjusting learning targets. The main limitation of this study is its focus on a single school and the absence of formal training for teachers in handling special needs students. Practically, this research offers valuable implications for schools and Islamic boarding schools to develop more inclusive Qur’anic learning. The originality of this study lies in its specific focus on slow learners within the context of the Yanbu’a method—an area still rarely explored in Islamic education studies.
Salma Aulya NitamiM.
