Abstract

This study explores the use of gamification media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the digital era at MI Modern SAKTI Permatahati IBU Tulungagung. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers and students across all grade levels. The study found that the implementation of gamified learning—such as using points, levels, and interactive tasks—enhanced students' engagement, motivation, and understanding of Islamic values. The gamified activities were tailored to the characteristics of each grade, offering varied methods such as quizzes, simulations, storytelling, and virtual challenges. However, the evaluation showed that while group performance was strong, only 70% of students achieved individual mastery, indicating the need for refinement in personalized learning strategies. Overall, the integration of gamification media proved to be an effective and enjoyable approach to teaching PAI in the digital age.
